Description

This Teaching Theme Activity for 3rd, 4th & 5th grade can help students how to find the THEME by identifying the problem, major events, and resolution with this low prep activity that uses task card worksheets, short stories, and includes two theme-based reading comprehension passages. Students use these elements of the story to see what the character has learned. This not only strengthens reading comprehension skills but also helps to infer within the text. This resource is both PRINTABLE and DIGITAL (using Google Slides).

This unit can be used over several weeks to teach your students about finding the theme in literature. Everything is included inside!
