Use these story retell summarizing worksheets with 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students when teaching how to write a summary. This resource can help show how- to retell and sequence a summary in a fun way.
Have students practice sequencing a story with the short reading passage worksheets on each trifold example. Recently added is a sentence strip activity (shown on the cover and preview) that can be used with any story.
How to use summarizing worksheets:
1. Copy the trifold front to back.
2. Have students fold the paper on the dividing line to create the trifold.
3. Read the stories on the activity and identify the 5 major parts.
4. Students can write a 4-5 sentence summary on the back page of the product.
