This math project based learning activity is great to teach students about budgeting money. Use the budgeting worksheets (PBL) for your 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students. Learning to budget money is important for students to understand. Teach your class about budgeting by planning a vacation with this real-life scenario math project.
HOW TO USE
You can begin the project by giving your students a check for the amount of money they may spend on their vacation (included inside). The students will then brainstorm a list of places they would like to go, pick a location, and write about why they want to visit. Click here ➤ WHAT BUDGET SHOULD I GIVE STUDENTS information.
Students will need to use computers to research flight costs, car rental, lodging, entertainment, and restaurants they will eat at.
At the end of the project, the class will present their vacation package.
Rubrics are included for easy grading. The students will even rate their group members for participation.
