These Inference Task Cards are perfect for 3rd, 4th, & 5th-grade students. Students use the descriptions on the cards and make inferences using the text clues from the descriptions. As a result, they will prove their thinking by underlining or highlighting the words that help describe the answers. The task cards represent common, everyday objects. Once the reader improves their skills, use the QUIZ at the end of the packet so that understanding/comprehension can be measured (answer key provided).

Use this resource in whole groups, small groups, literacy centers, or tutorials. Furthermore, the cards are small and easily stored to be transported conveniently when needed.
