This American Revolution flipbook & Founding Fathers’ activities help students in 5th-grade social studies to understand the events that led to the war.

Use this flipbook to learn about pivotal events that led up to the American Revolution. Students will begin to recognize why colonists fought for our freedom from England. Students will learn the order of events and factors that led to the following:

• The French and Indian War
• The Sugar Act
• The Stamp Act
• The Quartering Act
• The Townshend Acts
• The Boston Massacre
• The Boston Tea Party
• The Intolerable Acts
• The First Continental Congress

Students can use the blank cards to research the significant contributions of our Founding Fathers: James Madison, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Samuel Adams, Nathan Hale, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and The Sons of Liberty.

Also included is a matching activity to assess student knowledge of significant battles and events.
